Columbus Weightlifting (CWLC), has hosted the Arnold Weightlifting Championships in Columbus, Ohio, as part of the Arnold Sports Festival since 2003. Since its inception, CWLC and its partners have awarded nearly $150,000 to the competition’s top finishers in the form of cash, prizes, and scholarships. CWLC is excited and tremendously proud to have the honor of hosting both the 2012 National Weightlifting Championships as well as the 2012 Olympic Team Trials on behalf of USA Weightlifting at this year’s Arnold.

We are excited to have you as part of the 2012 Arnold Weightlifting Championships. As you may have heard the Arnold this year will host the 2012 USA Weightlifting Olympic Trials and the USA Weightlifting Nationals together. Please see below for the most common questions.

Is the Arnold Weightlifting Championships an “Open” meet?

a. No, it is not an open competition this year. Since we are host the 2012 USA Weightlifting Olympic Trials and the USA Weightlifting Nationals combined, the athletes must attain the senior national qualifying total for their weight class respectively or be invited for the Olympic Trials portion.
What is the cost of admission?

a. If you are coming to watch the competion you must purchase admission into the Arnold Sports Festival (Click for Ticket Info). Athletes will receive admission into the sports festival for the weekend via their entry into the competition. Volunteers should contact Columbus Weightlifting for more information.

What is the hotel and group rate?
a. Currently, USA Weightlifting is working through the event hotel details. We will post these details as soon as we get them.
